Area Office Director
Major Function: Ensures the Catholic Social Services Mission of service, empowerment and enrichment of those in need is carried out with dignity in keeping with the professional and ethical standards through each of the ministries provided by CSS at the Lee County Office.
Accountable: Archdiocesan Director of Social Services
Status: Non-Exempt
Qualifications: Minimum requirement of Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences or a related field; and 3-5 years’ administrative experience preferred. Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Preferred candidate will be fluent in Spanish. Employee must successfully complete the Archdiocese of Mobile’s Children and Adolescent Protection Program and background check. Position requires employee to have current Alabama Driver’s License and insurance coverage of personal vehicle, which will be driven for business purposes.

Major Objective: Interview and assess individuals and families to determine eligibility for emergency assistance utilizing agency resources or by making appropriate referrals to other community, state, and federal agencies.
Position Reports to: CSS Office Director

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in the field of social science or education. Candidate must possess above-average communication skills. Must have a valid Alabama Driver’s License and have personal automobile insurance coverage. Travel within Clarke, Choctaw, and Monroe, Counties may be required. Candidate must successfully complete the Archdiocesan Child Protection Training and background check.

Job Description
Major Function: Performs a variety of office support and secretarial duties including communications, scheduling, bookkeeping, establishing and maintaining
records, reporting data, supply acquisition, and other tasks related to the overall
functioning of the office.
Position is Non-Exempt from over-time.
Position reports to: Lee County Office Director
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; preferred candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a non-profit agency. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and be computer literate. Candidate must hold a valid Alabama Driver’s License and have a personal insured vehicle to use for business purposes. Must successfully complete Archdiocesan Mandatory Child Protection Training and background check.
